2010 DCOM Apportionment

The Saginaw Bay DCOM is a widely utilized, easily accessible, proactive source of relevant information and resources.  It provides guidance and training for strengthening local church leadership and ministries.

 

The purpose of the Saginaw Bay District Council on Ministries is to:

• serve as a link within the church
• provide a two-way channel of communication between district churches and the annual conference
• respond to their needs
• initiate programs which utilize human and material resources for the fulfillment of the ministry of Jesus Christ in accordance with God's word and Spirit

Our mission is to:

• raise the awareness of district churches as to what it means to be a part of the United Methodist connection
• raise the awareness of the Saginaw Bay DCOM as to the needs of district churches
• resource district churches to accomplish their ministry objectives
• nurture the development of Christian faith and discipleship in individuals of the Saginaw Bay District
• provide the necessary administrative resources for the DCOM to fulfill its objectives
